Jolly Roger
This is a fun sport indoor model that appeared in Aeromodeler. It was designed by Keith Goodchild. Many clubs are holding competitions for this design. The rules generally require the model to be built to the plan but allow the propeller to be replaced with any the builder would chose as long as the diameter does not exceed 6 inches. Another rule that is common is a minimum weight for the model without the rubber motor installed. A typical value is 5 grams. Whether flown in competition or just for fun, the model will reward you with a lot of enjoyment.
Presented are the plan as redrawn from the original magazine article and some ink jet printed tissue layouts. The magazine plan was redrawn by George Bredehoft of Volare Model Products. The copy presented here has a few additions by Paul Bradley.
