Reproductions of the 1950's Jigtime sheet balsa models

Reproductions of the Hales FrogFlite/Yeoman Quick Build all balsa sheet models

The models in this section represent reproductions of the old Hales FrogFlite/Yeoman series models. This series of models is similar to those presented in the Top Flite Jigtime, Goldberg, and Kiel Kraft EzEeBilt model series. They were die cut balsa models with color and markings pre applied. Like the Goldberg and Kiel Kraft models, the amount of color was limited so all of the models presented as reproductions have had the color enhanced to better represent the box art of each kit.

The models shown here along with the plan packages are a best attempt to reproduce the original series in their original form. Each plan package includes a scan of the original kit plan along with some building notes. All of the plans are in the Adobe PDF format. Each package contains multiple pages that are printed on U.S. legal size paper (8.5" x 14"). A link is provided with each model description to download the associated plan package. WHEN PRINTING MAKE SURE THAT PRINT SCALING HAS BEEN TURNED OFF.

NOTE - A very good alternative to printing the parts for these models directly on balsa it to use T-shirt iron-on transfer paper. This material comes in 8 1/2" x 11" sheet size and works very well for transferring the drawn parts to balsa. A summary of the process for doing this is covered here. The major advantage of using this process is any printer can be used. To make it a bit easier to use iron-on transfer paper to create the full color parts for these models an alternate parts drawing package is provided. This drawing package has been laid out for 8 1/2" x 11" and for A4 sheets. A link to the iron-on transfer packages is provided in each model section of this page.

FrogFlite/Yeoman Models
	This is the Cessna Bird Dog. The color and markings have been enhanced from those used in the original kit. The markings are those provided on the kit box art. The model has a wing span of 17.5". 	This is the Auster Autocar. The color and markings are those used in the original kit. The model has a wing span of 19". The plan package is available here (1.2 mb). Iron-on transfer paper layout package for U.S. letter size pages (37 kb), and for A4 size pages (37 kb).
	Thanks to Dave Livingston we have the Aeronca Sedan. This plan package and photo of the model he built was provided by Dave. You will find Dave's plan package here (578 kb). The color and markings are those used on the original kit.
	This is the Hawker Fury. The color and markings are those of the original kit with some enhancements. The model has a wing span of 15". The plan package is available here (1.5 mb). Iron-on transfer paper layout package for U.S. letter size pages (101 kb), and for A4 size pages (101 kb).
	This is the Ryan PT-20. The color and markings are those used in the original kit with some enhancement. The model has a wing span of 17". The plan package is available here (1.3 mb). Iron-on transfer paper layout package for U.S. letter size pages (52 kb), and for A4 size pages (51 kb).
